Remember, if you've allowed anyone to list your email address on a web-site, it can be stripped off the source code by automated software and sold to the unscrupulous people who send junk email. If you are getting a lot of junk in your in-box, email the web-masters of the sites your address appears and ask to be removed immediately. Your address will still be public property, but you can probably limit its future distribution a bit.
